Impeachment Coverage is Burying FISA Court Abuse Story

If any investigative reporter is worth his or her weight in salt, he or she could make a career out of uncovering FISA court abuses.  This conduct is so outrageous.   It is terribly offensive and frightening.  Carter Page’s constitutional rights have been trampled upon by the FBI.  His reputation has been severely damaged by CNN, MSNBC, Google, ABC, NBC, CBS, and every other liberal news outlet that peddled in the Russian collusion hoax.   Carter Page was Richard Jewell’d to some extent as far as the FBI and media destroying reputations go.  But Page was treated worse because FBI personnel and James Comey knew; they knew that far from being a Russian spy, Carter Page was actually a CIA source, yet the FBI continued to lie under oath to the FISA court.  The FBI was asked by the court if Mr. Page had been a source of another government agency.  The court was told that the FBI had no knowledge of Page having been a source for another government agency.

Political pundits cannot agree on what Speaker of the House Pelosi is planning to do with her articles of impeachment against President Trump.  Pelosi put Washington into a tailspin when, on the same day that the House of Representatives voted to impeach the President of the United States, Pelosi put forward for consideration the idea that she might not send the articles of impeachment to the Senate.  Both liberal and conservative media sources are saying this move is ‘unprecedented’.  It is unparalleled.

Conservatives, some nervously, wonder out loud if Pelosi is setting some kind of trap.  None have said that Pelosi’s move was masterful politicking; yet it was genius.  Pelosi is now wielding power that is not hers to wield, and nobody knows how to stop her.  There is little precedent to rely upon.  There is nothing that says when the Speaker of the House must deliver the articles of impeachment to the Senate.  There appears to be no time limit.

Is it possible that Pelosi never sends the articles of impeachment to the Senate?  Consider her comments a few days ago.  “He just got impeached. He’ll be impeached forever. No matter what the Senate does. He’s impeached forever because he violated our constitution,” she said.  Impeached forever is starting to look like the plan all along.  Denying Trump the acquittal by the Senate just deepens the cut.  “If I did nothing else, he saw the power of the gavel there,” Pelosi told the AP. “And it wasn’t me, it was all of our members making their own decision.”

The radical left, the so-called democratic socialists, want Trump banished forever.  They made that decision even before Trump was sworn into office.  They cling to the hope that if these articles of impeachment make it to the Senate along with some new, indecent allegations from secondhand, anonymous, yet highly credible sources, enough Trump-hater Republican senators will take the bait and flip the vote in favor of President Trump being thrown out of the White House.  If Schumer and Pelosi thought they could get there; if they thought they could get enough republican senators to vote in favor of Trump being removed from office, they could delay the senate trial until after the conventions.  If this strategy appeared viable, Trump would be removed from office and Pence would become President with little time to put a campaign in place in all 50 states.

At the present moment though, the likelihood of Trump being found guilty in a senate trial is still highly remote.  Senate Majority Leader McConnell is as crafty and clever, if not more so, than Pelosi and Schumer combined.  Nancy and Chuck just can’t help coming across as shrill and strident.  McConnell is not going to give Schumer any concession that could jeopardize the Trump presidency.  It is a paradox – Schumer demanding to be able to call witnesses when the democrats prevented the republicans from calling a single witness during all of the House hearings.

During a March 6, 2019 interview with the Washington Post Magazine, Pelosi proclaimed, “I’m not for impeachment.”  She added, “This is news.  I haven’t said this to any press person before. But since you asked, and I’ve been thinking about this, impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path because it divides the country. And he’s just not worth it.”

What changed to now make Trump worth it?  What happened between March 6th and September 24th?  What was now so compelling, overwhelming, and bipartisan?  What propelled Pelosi to initiate the impeachment inquiry on September 24th – six months after saying “I’m not for impeachment”?  Was it really the July 25th phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky?  What happened to the bipartisanship Pelosi said was required because impeachment “divides the country?”

The mainstream media’s liberal narrative is that President Trump abused his power during the infamous July 25th phone call with President Zelensky.  At one point during the impeachment inquiry the democrats were even calling Trump’s words treasonous and endangering to our national security – neither of which is true except with a super-stretched imagination.  Referring to this July 25th phone call, Pelosi said, “The actions taken to date by the president have seriously violated the Constitution.”  Mr. Trump, she added, “must be held accountable.  No one is above the law.”

No one is above the law.  This sentence must have been in the democrat impeachment talking points memo.  At one time or another during this impeachment process, it seems like every House democrat and the liberal media have said, ‘No one is above the law’ when speaking of President Trump.  No one is above the law is a wonderful sentiment.  It sounds great does it not? It rings of equality.  However, it is not true.  In theory it’s brilliant.  In practice it sucks.  Prominent people, people with plenty of resources, the well connected and protected…these people are frequently above the law.

Unfortunately, way too often in the United States, there are victims of the law.  These Americans are below the law.  Every case found on the Innocence Project website demonstrates how law enforcement became convinced they had their man or woman before they had sufficient evidence to support their intuition.  It is heartbreaking.  Whether it’s the FBI, state or city police, or county sheriff…when new evidence is interpreted as confirmation of a previously held belief, and other evidence is ignored because it does not support that previously held belief, innocent people’s lives are destroyed.

Clint Eastwood’s new film about Richard Jewell is a timely example of one of the many ways a person can be wrongfully accused.  The government and the media destroyed Jewell’s life.  All the while he was innocent.  Jewell saved lives.  But the FBI was convinced Jewell was the bomber.  Jewell’s lawyers said on 60 Minutes that the FBI lied repeatedly to Jewell.  The FBI agents repeatedly violated Richard Jewell’s constitutional rights, which is a crime.  Those agents were never charged.  They were above the law.  Someone should tell Nancy Pelosi.

When the collective media focuses on a story; when it keeps the story part of the daily news cycle; when law enforcement is front and center doing press conferences and asking for the public’s help; favorable results frequently occur.  An abducted child’s picture being broadcasted through the Amber Alert system is a great example of the people, media, and law enforcement coming together with the best of intentions.  The abductor’s vehicle is spotted by a truck driver on the interstate and reported to the police.  The police pursue and apprehend the kidnapper and recover the scared, but thankful unharmed child.

The impeachment of President Trump has dominated the news since Nancy Pelosi announced the commencement of the impeachment inquiry on September 24, 2019.  With the President’s daily outrage on Twitter, followed by opposition reaction, 24 hour news networks like CNN, MSNBC, and FOX have had plenty of material to shape into the message they want their respective audiences to hear.

Impeachment is a historical event that does deserve ample coverage.  The collective media is focused on the impeachment story.  Those liberal news sources that despise this President and smell blood in the water are circling faster and faster, ready to “impeach the motherfucker” as Rashida Tlaib announced on January 3, 2019 in Manhattan, New York.

Unfortunately, when major, newsworthy events are happening simultaneously, sometimes very important news goes under-reported because editors decide that a story about the sketchy impeachment of the President of the United States triumphs over a surprising order from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court that expresses accuracy concerns regarding FBI ‘evidence’ submitted to the FISC.

And then there are times when the under-reporting of an important story is done on purpose for political, personal, or security reasons.  For example, CNN and MSNBC will put little effort into reporting any news that is harmful to liberals.  Sure, occasionally there will be a sacrificial lamb so they have something to point towards as proof that they are not biased.  But nobody is fooled.  In the same way that FOX News is clearly in support of President Trump, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, and MSNBC are equally opposed to Trump.  They have a real hatred that cannot be hidden.

Why did ABC bury the Epstein story?  ABC News anchor Amy Robach claims that three years ago she “had it all”.  Robach even implied that she had information about President Bill Clinton in association with Epstein.  Jeffery Epstein was a billionaire pedophile.  Was ABC protecting the Clinton’s?  The network certainly didn’t do anything to hurt them – did they?

In contrast, when the infamous Access Hollywood tape of Trump bragging about grabbing women “by the pussy” was released – the liberal media coverage was wall to wall.  They held panel discussions.  They had ‘contributors’ speaking to ‘analysts’ about what this would mean for the Trump campaign.  Most everyone thought Trump was done.  Crisis adverted they wished. Hell, the liberal media even had guests on to discuss and dissect what previous guests thought about the tape.  Epstein is dead now.  The ‘official’ story is he committed suicide in jail.  Most informed people believe Epstein was murdered in jail.  He died August 10, 2019.  There should be a swarm of investigative reporters flushing out the facts, but instead they’re too busy doing everything they can to get President Trump removed from office.  Many power men could have been exposed by Epstein.  Impeachment is a great distraction is it not?

Enter ‘crossfire’ into the Google search bar.  Nine suggestions pop up.  Suggestions like crossfire car, crossfire board game, and crossfire crossword is the direction Google thinks you want to go supposedly.  Now add an h to the search – crossfire h.  Suggestions like crossfire hurricane book, crossfire hurricane rolling stones, and crossfire hurricane song lyrics are provided by Google.  None of these suggestions represent the most current usage of the words crossfire hurricane. None of the suggestions inform or point the user to the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane Investigation.  Take it a step further if you are yet to be convinced that Google is censoring content – burying stories that are unfavorable to the democrats and the renewed socialist movement within the Democratic Party.  Search crossfire hurricane.  What a shock!  Google makes ten suggestions of what it thinks you might be searching for and none of those suggestions are crossfire hurricane investigation. Now enter an i in the Google search bar.  Impeachment is the tenth suggestion. It certainly appears as if Google has a bias built into its search algorithm that leans favorably to the left

The Office of Inspector General released its OIG report on December 9, 2019.  The report by Inspector General Michael Horowitz is 480 pages long.  The FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane Investigation is an important element of the OIG report.  Within an hour of its release the liberal media was announcing that Trump’s phones were not wiretapped and that none of the actions by the FBI were driven by politics.  By evening James Comey was claim total vindication.  The liberals spun this story fast and furiously.  They got in front of the story and created the first impression.  Leftists that heard what they wanted to hear refocused on the good news – impeachment 24/7.

During the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, GA, Richard Jewell was working as a security guard. Jewell noticed an unattended backpack under a bench.  Jewell thought this was suspicious so he notified the Georgia Bureau of Investigation officers who in turn notified the bomb squad.  As this was unfolding Jewell and other security guards began to clear the spectators away from the backpack and the bench.  Within 2 to 3 minutes the backpack with pipe bombs in it, exploded. Richard Jewell’s life would never be the same thanks to the news media and the FBI.

Carter W. Page is a citizen of the United States.  He was a leading character in the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane Investigation.  In the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court order to the FBI, Presiding Judge Rosemary M. Collyer writes:

“…that personnel of the FBI provided false information to the National Security Division (NSD) of the Department of Justice, and withheld material information from NSD which was detrimental to the FBI’s case, in connection with four applications to the FISC for authority to conduct electronic surveillance of a U.S. citizen named Carter W. Page.  When FBI personal mislead NSD in ways described above, they equally mislead the FISC.”

The FBI made four applications for court approval to conduct electronic surveillance of Carter Page. The OIG Report found that FBI personnel provided information to NSD which was unsupported or contradicted by information in the FBI’s possession. The report also describes several instances in which FBI personnel purposely withheld information in their possession which was detrimental to their case.  FBI personnel falsely claimed that Carter Page was acting as an agent of a foreign power. The liberal media took their cue from the FBI leakers and ran many reports depicting Carter Page as a Russian agent or spy.  Mr. Page is a former foreign-policy advisor to Donald Trump during his 2016 presidential election campaign.  But the liberal news media and internet searches needed Carter Page to be a Russian spy to fortify their Russian collusion case against President Trump – so they made him a spy.  Presto!

When law enforcement lied under oath, a crime was committed.  When FBI personnel purposely withheld information, because they knew it would hurt their case, a crime was committed.  When former FBI Director James Comey leaked information to the media for the purpose of shaping and manipulating the now debunked ‘Russia collusion’ story, a crime was committed.  When FBI personnel knowingly set up a U.S. citizen to become collateral damage in their pursuit of the President of the United States being removed from office, a crime was committed.

No one is above the law, right?  James Comey is above the law.  Andrew McCabe is above the law.  The FBI personnel that lied under oath are above the law.  Somebody should tell Nancy.

But there just really is no time for this story, what with the President being impeached and Pelosi holding back the articles of impeachment from the Senate.  It’s just great daytime drama.  CNN is never going to beat General Hospital in the ratings if it has to waste time with reporting about the government violating the 4th Amendment of U.S. citizens, and much, much more.

Stay distracted my friends.  As George Orwell wrote in his book titled 1984, “Power is in tearing human minds to pieces and putting them together again in new shapes of your own choosing.”

And remember, No one is above the law.
