Ashli Babbitt Remembrance Day

As liberal democrats fake heartfelt feelings and commiserate with each other over the upcoming 1st anniversary of January 6, 2021, the rest of the nation should seize the day, and remember the only American that was shot dead in the U.S. Capitol on January 6th was a military veteran named Ashli Babbitt.

A proclamation is hence declared.

United States of America

A Proclamation of Remembrance

WHEREAS,        hundreds of thousands of supporters of President Donald J. Trump traveled to Washington D.C. for a Trump Rally on the day the U.S. Senate was scheduled to certify the electoral vote; and

WHEREAS,        after the conclusion of President Trump’s remarks, tens of thousands of protesters against the certification of the electoral votes due to the belief that the 2020 presidential election was wrought with fraud and stolen from President Trump, proceeded to the U.S. Capitol building; and

WHEREAS,        agitators and instigators were embedded within the crowd of protesters – calling for unruliness, violence, and destruction, and to breach and enter the U.S. Capitol, and

WHEREAS,        an Air Force veteran named Ashli Babbitt, who was a decorated security forces controller and served numerous Middle East tours between 2004 and 2016, was caught up in the emotions and frenzy, and wrongfully entered the U.S. Capitol along with approximately seven hundred to one thousand other protesters, and

WHEREAS,         a group of approximately one hundred protesters came up against locked double doors in a corridor of the U.S. Capitol, and proceeded to break the glass to gain passage, when Ashli Babbitt then attempted to climb through the opening where the glass once stood, and

WHEREAS,        a U.S. Capitol Police officer, Lieutenant Michael Byrd, pointed his service weapon at the unarmed Ashli Babbitt, and without any warning or calls to stop or halt, shot Babbitt in the neck, causing her to fall backwards onto the floor where she soon thereafter died from her injuries.

NOW, THEREFORE, WE THE PEOPLE, of the United States of America that cherish liberty, freedom and equal justice under the law, while making no excuses for any criminal behavior that occurred at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, but recognizing that those arrested are being punished by their captors in cruel and unusual ways prior to trial, only to be followed with excessive sentencing after trial, we due hereby proclaim January 6, 2022, and every January 6th to follow hereafter as

Ashli Babbitt Remembrance Day

throughout the United States and encourage all Americas to remember that Ashli Babbitt was unarmed, and did not deserve to be killed by Michael Boyd, even under the circumstances, anymore than any other American has deserved to die as a result of a police officer using excessive, and deadly force. Americans need to remember Ashli Babbitt as an imperfect human being that believed in something and got caught up in a moment of history, and was shot dead by Boyd, who was never charged with a crime, or even disciplined for misconduct, or wrongdoing.
