Trump Delivers On COVID-19 Vaccine
President Trump’s Operation Warp Speed was just what the doctors ordered. So why isn’t he being credited for this life-saving initiative?
Since May 2020, President Donald J. Trump has repeatedly stated that the United States would have a COVID-19 vaccine by the end of the year. The President was ridiculed by many for making what the naysayers claimed to be foolish and misleading predictions. As the November 3rd elections drew closer, the Democrats took it a step further claiming the President was playing politics with the promise of a vaccine. For example, MSNBC contributor and Lincoln Project co-founder Steve Schmidt told MSNBC host Joy Reid during a May 15th appearance, “I would bet my left arm that Donald Trump can’t spell vaccine, let alone be able to make a prediction about when we’re likely to see one.”
In unison, the liberal activists in the news media sang the same song from May to December. Each time Trump suggested that he thought a vaccine would be available this year, the retorts from the talking roosters and hens were in perfect harmony.
Public health experts say it could take a year and a half to roll out.
But his comments are still at odds with members of his own administration.
The development for an effective vaccine against the coronavirus by even the end of the year would mark a watershed moment in medicine as vaccines typically take several years, if not decades, to succeed.
Facing slipping poll numbers, President Trump has in recent weeks escalated promises of a vaccine against the virus to be ready for the public before the end of the year.
Contradicting the CDC, Trump says COVID-19 vaccine could be ready by end of year.
Oh, the de doo-da day. What will they say when Trump’s Operation Warp Speed makes some vaccine hay? By December 13th every state in the United States received the first shipments of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. Across the country, hospitals receiving the first of two doses of this promising vaccine with an impressive 90% effectiveness rate at preventing COVID-19, have begun administering the vaccine to frontline medical personnel.
Trump’s Operation Warp Speed had an initial goal to produce and deliver 300 million doses of effective and safe COVID-19 by January 2021. There is no reason to doubt whether General Gustave Perna, Chief Operating Officer of Operation Warp Speed will meet or exceed the goals set by President Trump. Factor in pharmaceutical company Moderna receiving vaccine distribution authorization on December 17th and Team Trump is full speed ahead on making COVID-19 vaccines available to every American that opts to be vaccinated.
Has any self-proclaimed newscaster at ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, or MSNBC offered congratulatory sentiments to the Trump Administration on this life-saving accomplishment? Has anyone in the liberal media that scoffed at Trump when he appointed Vice-President Pence to manage the U.S. government’s response to the Wuhan virus outbreak offered apologies for doubting the leadership of the president and vice-president? Nope. Instead of saying what a great accomplishment this truly is, the squawkers went straight into denial mode. No matter what – deny it, deny it, deny it. The media learned this tactic from the Clinton and Biden gangs. What does Joe’s brother call it? Jim says all you need is plausible deniability.
Under no circumstances it seems will they give Trump credit for any accomplishment while they blame him for every obstacle, suffering, and crisis. They actually blame Trump for 310 thousand plus alleged COVID-19 deaths, while denying him credit for the lives saved. They condemn Trump for moving too slow in the beginning of the pandemic; for not pushing for a vaccine quicker (which is ridiculous from every angle). They hate Donald J. Trump so much, for some it’s obviously pathological, that they cannot bring themselves to complement him with even a quarter of the praise they’d be heaping on Obama or Biden. Instead, they come up with this shit.
The vaccines were developed through a massive collaborative effort among scientists, governments and private companies, meaning no single person can claim credit for the achievement.
Well at least NBC News is on the case with this brilliant FACT CHECK:
Coronavirus vaccine could come this year, Trump says. Experts say he needs a ‘miracle’ to be right.
Would somebody please find Steve Schmidt? He owes us his left arm.
