Using a Public Office for Private Gain – Joe Biden’s Reward for His Family’s “Connected Success”

Since 2003, how much private gain has Joe and Jill Biden enjoyed as the result of money, property, and other financial instruments being delivered, given, or gifted to them from family members and/or associates, regardless of degrees of separation? Only the Bidens know for certain. There isn’t a record of Joe Biden being asked if he or Jill have benefited monetarily, and/or materially, from family member business successes.

Joe Biden has repeatedly stated that he never discusses Biden business interests with his family members. While on the 2019 campaign trail in South Carolina, Biden said, “I’ve never discussed with my son or my brother, or anyone else anything having to do with their businesses, period. And what I will do is the same thing we did in my administration, there will be an absolute wall between personal and private and the government. There wasn’t any hint of scandal when we were there. That’s why I never talk with my son or my brother or anyone else, even distant family, about their business interest.”

While debatable, it remains implausible that Joe Biden has never discussed his loved one’s business ventures with them. The Bidens are a close-knit family by all appearances. It’s a hard sell to claim they maintained an “absolute wall between personal and private and the government” throughout all family gatherings and discussions. It’s unfathomable, really. Joe Biden is a talker with a proven track record of blurting words out just to see what will stick. The truth isn’t even an afterthought. He’s a career politician that has misrepresented himself and facts with impunity since winning the Council District 4 election in New Castle County, Delaware in 1970.

There is no crime in discussing business with his family. None whatsoever. And I seriously doubt Joe Biden has ever been too troubled by the appearance of impropriety either. So why is he maintaining this obvious lie, other than that’s what people do when they lie? They repeat it because they must. It’s about the buffer, the layer of protection from inquiring minds getting to the next level where likely crimes are hidden.  The press has never asked Joe or Jill Biden how much private gain they have enjoyed as the result of money, property, and other financial instruments being delivered, given, or gifted to them from family members and/or associates, regardless of the degrees of separation from the family member to the person or entity that finally delivered the money, goods, or services.

New York Post reporter Pete Schweizer wrote a great article on January 18, 2020, titled How five members of Joe Biden’s family got rich through his connections. Schweizer illustrates Frank Biden (brother), James Biden (brother), Valerie Biden Owens (sister), Hunter Biden (son), and Howard Krein (son-in-law) all appear to have benefited financially, to varying degrees, as a result of their relationship with now President Joe Biden. The only reason not to connect the dots is if you don’t want to see the picture they create.

It’s a fact. Being related to Joe Biden has helped his two brothers, sister, son, and son-in-law achieve more than they might have on their own. Again, this too is not a crime. The crime occurs when they cross the line. It’s a violation of federal law to use a public office for private gain. E-mails from Hunter Biden, along with bank records recently recovered by the House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Accountability connect some dots that appear to draw a picture of Joe Biden being rewarded financially and materially as a result of his family’s financial successes, particularly from overseas business ventures and opportunities.

It’s more plausible to believe that Joe Biden has discussed their “private businesses” with his brothers, sisters, son, and son-in-law, than to believe he had not. He loves them. He wants them to be successful. It’s also more plausible to believe, than not, that Joe Biden has assisted, directly or indirectly, in ensuring that some of the “business” that made his family millions, was pointed in the right direction. A wink, nod, and grin by someone in power is unfortunately how too much gets done in “politics”. Joe Biden is one of the best at it.

Finally, and knowing his character or lack thereof, it’s implausible to believe Joe Biden didn’t want to be rewarded for what he did for his family. He wanted a slice of the pie. They owed the man. They rewarded the man. They took care of the man. They paid the man. And that’s where Joe Biden crossed the line.
