For the ten percent of the U.S. population paying any attention, things are tenser than Adam Schiff being dropped into the middle of a MAGA rally! Democrats are franticly hysterical over House Speaker Kevin McCarthy giving access to the previously concealed January 6, 2021 video footage from inside the U.S. Capitol, to Tucker Carlson of Fox News. Republicans are pissed off in the spring-loaded position over the liberal media reaction, as well as how the Democrats in Congress have doubled-down with more misdirects and deception.
There will be no compromise from the irate. There’s no safe middle ground. “Truth” to the Democrats in particular, but also for some Republicans, will not be interfered with by obvious facts. Here are a few to rub both sides wrong.
- Trump was a damn fool to hold his “March to Save America” rally on January 6, 2021, on the day and at the time of the Electoral College vote count. Thirty thousand, at minimum, angry Trump supporters who believed the 2020 election was stolen, within walking distance to the U.S. Capitol, was a powder keg just waiting for a spark. But Trump isn’t a “damn fool”. He wanted his supporters to make their voices heard. They most certainly did, and over 1000 will have a criminal record to show for it the rest of their lives.
- All the “officials” responsible for the security of the U.S. Capitol Building, primarily then Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, were damn fools for not having an abundance of security in place, an overwhelming presence of force, to completely neuter any violent urges and tamper the passions that were running so high among the Trump supporters. But Pelosi isn’t a “damn fool” either. She didn’t want Republicans to achieve a debate about the Electoral College votes. Thanks to the Trump supporters gaining access to the U.S. Capitol, and the ensuing mayhem, all calls for debate were abandoned like Americans left behind in Afghanistan. The aftermath left most members of Congress stunned. The appetite for debate was lost. The Electoral College vote was quickly accepted and certified.
- There were agents of the federal government embedded within the Trump crowd at the U.S. Capitol. Rather than repel the people within the crowd that decided to attack the Capitol, these agents appeared to encourage or facilitate the attack. Some stood idle. Ray Epps is an inconvenient truth that the government cannot deny. Epps is recorded inciting violence, more than any other individual at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th. The reason the government has provided as to why Epps has not been arrested or charged is weak. The only conclusion to reach until proven otherwise is Epps was a paid for actor working on behalf of some element[s] of the government or DNC.
- There were violent protesters inside the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. Hundreds of them! They fought with police and damaged government property. There were also peaceful protesters. The liberal media and democrats refuse to acknowledge this fact. There were protesters that entered the U.S. Capitol through open doors, some held open by Capitol Police Officers. There were protesters, hundreds of them, that walked about the U.S. Capitol, and didn’t touch anything or harm anybody. This is an undeniable truth the Democrats and liberal media continue to deny. There is video evidence of this fact in the public domain, and yet the Democrats and liberal media ignore it, discount it, or see it, and then claim it is not true. If ever there was an example of gaslighting America, this is it, and the Democrats and liberal media are keeping that light burning bright.
- No police officers died at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. None.
- Ashli Babbitt was shot and killed by Capitol Police Officer Michael Byrd.
- Members or sympathizers of domestic terrorism groups such as ANTIFA were among the Trump supporters. Video footage shows these actors instigating and inciting violence. Other footage shows these actors smashing windows.
The Democrats and liberal supporters embedded within what we used to call the news media, want the security camera footage it / they “approved” (cherry-picked) for release, to satisfy all questions Americans have regarding what happened at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th, 2021. They want the Jan. 6 Select Committee Final Report to be the final word. But unlike committee and commission reports in the past, all of which have been vigorously debated after release, any questioning of the official narrative surrounding J6 is rebuked. First, the Democrats label any person that challenges them as a conspiracy theorist. If the questioner persists, well then, he or she is a denier. What follows is extreme MAGA Republican, followed by their favorite “N” word – Nazi.
There are a reported 40,000 hours of Capitol security footage from January 6th. Much of the footage the public has yet to see. The Capitol Police and federal prosecutors have hidden the majority of footage from defense attorneys and defendants. The Jan. 6 Select Committee cherry-picked small segments of the video footage that supported their Hollywood produced hearings. Tucker Carlson has aired a few hidden away minutes and made his counterpoints, infuriating the Democrats and their liberal media mouthpieces.
What should happen is all of the footage should be available on a government portal for public view. There is no reasonable security argument against granting access to the footage. The public has a right to witness the events of January 6th without a Democrat or Republican narrative. Just let us see the footage. The American people can shape their own conclusions.
It’s been 26 months since the events of January 6, 2021 unfolded. Since then, more than 999 defendants have been arrested in nearly all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Approximately 420 federal defendants have had their cases adjudicated and received sentences for their “criminal activity” on Jan. 6. Approximately 220 have been sentenced to periods of incarceration. Approximately 100 defendantshave been sentenced to a period of home detention, including approximately 15 who also were sentenced to a period of incarceration.
All of these defendants were denied access to video evidence that might have helped them receive lighter sentences. Some may have avoided jail time. Some would not have accepted plea deals, and went to trial. When the evidence available is stacked against you, and there’s no evidence to mitigate the government’s charges against you, a plea deal can sometimes make sense. But for the government to withhold evidence that could help the defense, that’s indefensible, and those guilty of such maliciousness must be punished.
January 6, 2021 was a tragedy. The failure to anticipate what should have been obvious, appears beyond poor judgement. It looks like some people within the government wanted it to happen. If this is ever proven, it’s treasonous. Trump should have never held his rally on that day, within walking distance to the U.S. Capitol. I believe he got played by Nancy Pelosi and company. The liberal schemers knew Trump and his followers well enough to realize that they only needed a weak defense, and some agitators to unleash what followed. The Trump supporters that were looking for a fight, now know that what they got, was a trap! They’ll be paying for it the rest of their lives.
Notes:
Many of the J6 defendants have been charged with “Obstructing an official proceeding”. Arguably, the government is guilty of the same by concealing the official record of what happened inside the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
Obstructing an official proceeding
The crime is codified as 18 U.S.C. § 1512(c)(2). The relevant subsection reads:
(c) Whoever corruptly—
(1) alters, destroys, mutilates, or conceals a record, document, or other object, or attempts to do so, with the intent to impair the object’s integrity or availability for use in an official proceeding; or
(2) otherwise obstructs, influences, or impedes any official proceeding, or attempts to do so,
shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.
The term “official proceeding” is defined in 18 U.S.C. § 1515(a)(1) to include proceedings before federal judges, Congress, federal government agencies, and regulators of insurance businesses.
