About

Ed Haas

Ed Haas is a political analyst and commentator whose work cuts through the noise of American governance, exposing the scandals, policy failures, and power plays that shape our nation.

Through efhaas.com, Ed dissects the inner workings of federal agencies, the ambitions of rising political figures, and the threats to our security—from Chinese land grabs near military bases to the unchecked rise in health insurance premiums. With a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to unvarnished truth, his posts challenge the status quo, champion fiscal responsibility, and defend the principles of limited government and national sovereignty.

A veteran observer of elections, administrations, and the cultural divides fueling our politics, Haas writes from the conviction that real divides aren’t about prosperity, but about policy – and that low-information voters deserve better than bumper-sticker politics.

When he’s not questioning the intent and integrity of politicians and bureaucrats, Ed enjoys chasing redfish in the Wando River and Charleston Harbor. When not on the water, he enjoys escaping into the Francis Marion Forest on one of his motorcycles.

Ed Haas is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He served active duty from 1983 to 1993.

According to Myers-Briggs, Haas is an ENTJ personality with a dash of abrasiveness when required. He enjoys arguing a case and making a point. Being misunderstood is one of his least favorite things.
